Week III - It's all about the details!

No job is finished until all the details are done. So many times I see remodels done where they didn't finish the details. Items like crown molding, hardware for cabinets, etc. can make or break any job. The contractor and I work very closely, communicating every day to make sure that we are both on the same page. Details like the crown molding roping matching the hardware. When using a decorator, your remodel can turn out so much better because nothing is left undone or forgotten.

The crown molding is up and the stain is about to receive a satin finish on it. See how the wood crown molding makes the cabinets finished as well as making the color on the walls come alive.

Living Room/Master Bedroom Accessories

Want to see what accessories can add to a space? Today I had a full day install with my team of busy bees. We worked very hard and everything turned out great. Instant color, pattern and texture. Of course we had everything painted weeks before I arrived. The columns use to be white but now they have a wonderful "stone" look to them. We also had all the carpets replaced, adding warmth to the whole house. I've been blessed to work with some wonderful clients.

Client didn't have a use for the wine rack so we hung a painting over the it.

Colorful Install - Bland to Amazing!

Just finished an install today. My contractor removed all the paneling in this room a month ago and repainted everything. Today was the day to place all the accessories. Take a look and see what paint and some color
can do to a room. My clients are so wonderful. I'm amazed each day at the way God leads me to such great people.

Cabinets are almost complete

Wow, change is on its way! The cabinets got stained today and they are hanging them as we speak. The plastic is coming down which means we are getting closer to the finished kitchen. Granite was chosen today at the granite yard. Choosing granite is one of the greatest experiences. After you walk through isle after isle of stunning natural stone, it makes you realize how creative our God is. To think that all those slabs are from our earth!

Before & In Process

Week II

We are in on week II of the kitchen remodel that I'm blogging. Here are some new pictures of the changes. All the popcorn has been removed and the new lighting has been put in. They started the painting today. They are in the process of refacing the cabinet fronts and the cabinet frames have been stained. We'll be selecting the granite next week.

The homeowner is getting excited! I am too. All the ideas that I had in my head are starting to come together.

Kitchen is complete!!!

I blogged a couple weeks ago about a kitchen that was getting a transformation that you wouldn't believe. Well, here are the before and after pictures. We re-faced the kitchen cabinets so we wouldn't have to totally replace them all. Painting them and then adding new hardware makes them look brand new! What a difference the lighting makes. Thank you Judy for making my job so enjoyable.
